Zcash Pool- Zcash.flypool.org

0.6 genoil worked overnight, now crashed and i cannot restart

zconn: invalid string position .
What is this?

  1. worked as the same before
  2. there is nothing wrong in the string

now, after four restarts it started again.
definitely something on the pool side :stuck_out_tongue:

@peter_zcash Just a heads up. I noticed that when you use your linux cpu miner guide on git hub, it doesn’t show where the file is built to.

It’s located at home/user/nheqminer/Linux_cmake/nheqminer_cpu and then you have to use a command like
./nheqminer_cpu -l us1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u t1cX6oqQY1wd8FQCyW9YJyRSh3Qyt3Ymetm.rig2 (that’s my miner)
That little bit through me off, it probably will confuse a few people.

yeah, i saw someone asking for support on that one, so i second it.

Lol that’s ironic, that guy was me. I remember you.

thought people mind find these walkthough videos for AMD GPU Miners helpful for flypool as last time I checked I did not find enough examples in miners that you can use…,
All of the examples in these videos use zcash.flypool.org as pool to connect to in the example.
So if you were wondering about other miners to use on flypool, you can use these.

my top recommendation is SilentArmy Miner

Ubuntu SilentArmy Miner

Ubuntu Zogminer

Windows Claymore Miner

Thanks bro

you can also just open your terminal (from the menu or sidebar or desktop)
and use
./nheqminer/nheqminer/build/nheqminer_cpu -l us1-zcash.flypool.org:3333 -u t1cX6oqQY1wd8FQCyW9YJyRSh3Qyt3Ymetm.rig2

so that way you dont have to go in to the folder each time to launch it… bit faster

no prob

Hi, does anyone know how to withdraw? I was testing it out to withdraw 0.001 and tried to set the threshold but doesn’t seem to work? It ask for validate ip and i tried both ipv4 and default gateway

google “My IP”. It’s your internet IP not your local IP

ohhh, thanks for the help

try changing your IP’s on your rigs with something like a VPN, when I do that my udpate IP changes and I can save the threshold settings

Ubuntu SilentArmy Miner

What hash rate for a stock 8GB RX 480? Per the video I see ~42H/s which is that I get with claymore on windows. Is that the avg for silentarmy? I assume the cards in the video are stock rom. Thanks

How do I mine with both my CPU and GPU?!?!?!?! Also, how do I monitor the work of my PC?!

In my experience it depends a lot on brand.
I have a PowerColor Red Devil that averages on 48-52 Sol/s with my own modded bios (1500 ram timing!).
Meanwhile my XFX GTR XXX barely breaks above 44-47 Sol/s (I have to use 1750 timing here).

someone found proof that claymore just took silent army and repacked it

my video is not using nerdralphs mod, you will get faster than my video if you modded your memory timings, you can get 45 hash/s with a 470 with nerdralphs update

cards are modded bios, boysies

you launch a GPU and CPU miner at hte same time

of course!! hahahah. any suggestions on GPU miners? what’s the best one? i plan on using an older gpu AMD HD 5850 (pretty old). i read the silent army is only for newer models

Has anyone used their windows cpu/gpu (nvidia) miner? Right now I’m using my old laptop and I can only use the cpu(i5 only getting about 10 sol/s), but I would much rather use my i7 3770k and GTX 670.

as per Equihash - ongoing memory requirement adjustments? Hashing should be faster with more memory, though my nheqminer_cpu is not using much memory, on a 8 gb system I see only about 800 MB used. Is there a way to tell it to use more memory?

Can somebody explain Current Hashrate and Average Hashrate, I thought average would be just average of Current hashrates, but that doesn’t seem to be case, my current hashrate is consistently high but average is much much lower e.g. 143.3H/s vs 20.9H/s for hours

also some of my machines has more shares compared to higher average machines e.g. I don’t understand these stats

Worker Current Hashrate Average Hashrate Valid Shares (1h) Invalid Shares (1h)
test1 3.3H/s 4.2H/s 4 (100%) 0 (0%)
test11 11.7H/s 1.3H/s 14 (100%) 0 (0%)
