### Project Summary
The Zcash team will participate in the **RLAY Hub** event, which will take place in Türkiye from **August 15–22, 2026**. During the first three days of the event, the team will actively engage with attendees by delivering a **presentation about Zcash**, hosting a **prize-based hackathon**, and organizing **community activities**.
### Project Description
Rlay Blockchain Week 2026 is a blockchain education and developer event that brings together university students, software developers, entrepreneurs, and Web3 enthusiasts for an intensive week of technical learning and collaboration. As an Event Sponsor, Zcash will have the opportunity to introduce its privacy-focused technology directly to developers and new users who are shaping the future of the blockchain ecosystem. The sponsorship provides Zcash with strong brand visibility throughout the event and a dedicated day to organize its own activities.
The Zcash Türkiye team will actively participate during the first three days of the event. Our program will begin with a comprehensive technical presentation focused on Zcash. During the presentation, attendees will learn about the importance of financial privacy, Zcash's technology, and its real-world use cases. Our goal is not only to introduce Zcash but also to demonstrate, through technical explanations and practical examples, why privacy-preserving blockchain technology is essential.
During the presentation, participants will be guided by our team through the installation of the ZODL Wallet and the creation of their first Zcash wallet. This hands-on onboarding process will ensure that attendees not only learn about Zcash but also become active participants in the ecosystem. Complimentary beverages will be served throughout the presentation, and Zcash-branded merchandise—including T-shirts, keychains, and other promotional items—will be distributed to create a memorable and engaging experience.
Following the presentation, we will officially launch a 24-hour Zcash Hackathon for the developers attending the event. Participants will be invited to build applications, tools, or innovative use cases utilizing the Zcash ecosystem. Throughout the hackathon, our team will provide technical guidance and mentorship, while the most outstanding projects will receive prizes. This approach encourages developers not only to understand Zcash in theory but also to gain practical experience by building real projects.
This initiative is designed to be much more than a single presentation. Participants will first gain a technical understanding of Zcash, then immediately join the ecosystem by creating their own wallets, engage with the community throughout the event, and finally apply their knowledge during the hackathon. By combining education, hands-on onboarding, developer engagement, and community interaction, this project aims to increase Zcash's visibility in Türkiye, attract new users and developers to the ecosystem, and contribute to the long-term growth of a strong local Zcash community.
### Proposed Problem
Although Zcash holds a strong position among privacy-focused technologies, it is still not widely recognized by the broader public and is often only superficially understood, even in markets like Türkiye where cryptocurrency adoption is significant. The technology is mature and the necessary tools are readily available; however, there remains a lack of effective outreach and hands-on educational experiences, particularly for new users and local Web3 communities.
### Proposed Solution
The Zcash Türkiye team will deliver a hands-on community activation at Rlay Blockchain Week 2026 that combines education, practical onboarding, and developer engagement.
Our program will begin with a technical presentation introducing Zcash, the importance of financial privacy, and real-world applications of privacy-preserving technology. Rather than simply presenting the project, we will provide attendees with a practical understanding of how Zcash works and why it is relevant.
During the session, participants will be guided through installing the ZODL Wallet and creating their first Zcash wallet. This hands-on onboarding experience will immediately connect attendees with the Zcash ecosystem while allowing our team to answer questions and provide technical assistance in person.
To encourage deeper engagement, complimentary refreshments and Zcash-branded merchandise will be distributed throughout the event, creating a welcoming environment and increasing participant interaction.
Following the presentation, we will launch a 24-hour Zcash Hackathon for developers attending the event. Participants will be encouraged to build applications, tools, or integrations using the Zcash ecosystem, while our team provides mentorship and technical support throughout the competition. Prize incentives will reward the most innovative projects and motivate developers to continue exploring Zcash beyond the event.

Early approval of the event sponsorship and signing the agreement are essential. This will allow us to secure accommodation in advance and ensure sufficient time to organize all event logistics and preparations effectively.
Major blockchain ecosystems such as **Avalanche** and **Stellar** are also participating as sponsors, and the number of sponsorship opportunities is limited. Reaching an agreement early will help secure Zcash's presence at the event while enabling our team to plan travel, logistics, promotional materials, and on-site activities well in advance, ensuring a high-quality execution.
