Ok thanks. Though i have an open frame rig with external cooling i´m not sure whether it can be enough. Though i have an extra pc with only 1 slot for pci-e and 750w psu so it could proof a good option to that rig. It can also be crossfired with my 7970s if i choose to use it on a gaming/mining desktop. On the other hand i´m not sure how the claymore v9 changes the meta. Those were one of my main concerns in addition to the price-value ratio.
still best pick is 7990
The best pick would be rx 470 or 480s.
They have the best hash/watts.
Out of the two, if your sole purpose is mining and reducing costs , you should go for rx 470s as they give you 200 sols/s with claymore v9 and are cheaper than the rx 480s which give you 220 sols/s. I’m talking about stock settings.
You should check for the price difference between the two. If there’s not a considerable price difference, i would go with rx 480s.
Rx 480s and 470s are power efficient and silent. You can easily keep them in your bedroom and sleep peacefully.
I have - not XFX, one of my Sapphires.
which power supply you use for each rig? I have to buy one but the evga 1600w is expansive.
What kind of gpu you run in 1 rig and what kind of gpu. I have 6x rx480 in a rig. I have evga 1200w, corsair rm 1200w and xfx 1200w and that is anough for dual or triple mining. But evga is my favorite.
6x rx 480 only pull about 800W on the wall, a 1200W psu is more then enough
Hello guys,
How much Sol/s this beauty can produce?
Is this more profitable?let’s say compared to R9 Fury which is 330Sol/s
Thank you,
Laur
1 R9 390 nitro, 1 R9 480, 1 R9 280…yes it is a mix
Any output for XFX Fury X ?
Hey there! I know a big question out there some folks had is what is the best voltage to mine at?
120 or 240?
I addressed some of these questions in a video here.
Hope this is helpful to some of you! If you’re interested in the miner, it is for sale at minermaker.com
You have 7 gpus pushing air out the front and 2 fans pushing air out the back. When the lid is closed this machine is gonna burn mann.
Not if those fans on the back are reversed I’ve run it closed for hours and its cooling just fine.
Zcash getting down then what is the selling ratio?
You got different coolers than him. My gpus are pretty tight and they blow the hot air up towards a window, like a radiator. Very efficient no problems at all with overheating. fans sub 30% temp set to 71c. no extra fans used. The rx480 a little bit warmer running at 33% fanspeed same set temp.
His gpus are tighter and enclosed, but if he changes the fans to blow inwards I still guess he can manage sub 50% fanspeed to keep the temps similar to mine.
Hello, i got the latest generation of sapphire OC Rx 470 4gb GPU’s and they have Samsung memory which is the memory that is usually used on the nitro cards. The Samsung memory GPU’s are mining (stock) at the same performance as the modded OC Rx 470 4gb Hynix memory version. Could i get an even better performance if i modded the bios of the Samsung memory GPU’s ? Is there a Rom for these GPU’s, or would a Nitro Rx 470 4gb GPU rom work ? Since they both have Samsung memory ? Thanks and happy mining !
what does it mean by?
I think the OC edition is not much suitable for mining.
I flashed back my bioses to orginal mem timings.
They just got warmer and noisier no performance increase under claymore 9.1 or earlier versions.
