Full configuration:
MSI Z170A Gaming M5
16GB RAM Corsair
i7 6700K
I have less RAM and Pentium Core, maybe this is a reason. Ok thanks.
800watt at the wall
6 x Nitro 8gig 480s each card doing 142
GPU P7 MHz 1200 mV 980
i7 4790
16gig RAM
Windows 10
My main gaming machine is running an asus stryx 390x and a nitro 480 on stock settings
390 = 175
480 = 164
i7 870
16 RAM
Windows 10
Both running Claymore 6.
How many 480 on a 1000w PSU ? 5, 6 ?
6 on a 1000w now, but I would go for 1200w-1300w just incase power usage goes up with newly released miners (and for other coins)
I’ll be going 7 in a 1600. Is this adequate ? Rx 470 or 480
200 sol/s on Sapphire Nitro OC+ RX480 8GB using Claymore V8
what is bottlenecking the cards nowadays? Is it still the memory?
I have some problems with 6x rx470, anyone helps me plz
Miner can’t login to windows. If I unplug 6 gpu and reinstall driver 16.11, then it can run a few minutes, but it crashes in the next few minutes again. I’ve tried run ETH and ZEC claymore tool with latest version.
I think that it may have problems with driver or claymore tool.
Try reinstalling Windows…?
I’ve tried 3-4 times, both windows 8.1 and 10. Ubuntu is fine, but hash rate is quite slow
Have to say I am a terrible fan of these miners being released in Windows. Linux is superior for longevity and security. I would try a clean install of 64 bit Win 10 and go with the popular older driver set. I think you are going wrong with that particular driver set. I can’t test it right now but this weekend I can
I think it’s time someone ports a better open source driver to ubuntu. And forget the ludicrous fees.
Max TDP is 164w (stock) 164x7+System
claymore 8 amd Rx470
ZEC - Total Speed: 179.296 H/s
Ubuntu means stable lol. I’ve heard that miner switching between zec and eth claymore tool may face that problem. I’ve tried auto search driver tool on device manager, but crash again. No way for me
