Mining ZEC to Ledger Nano S

Great thanks for confirmation @dubie

hey dubie,
how about for ethereum and ETC?

I notice in ledger wallet ethereum, you can not create additional accounts like you can with the ledger bitcoin wallet and other altcoins.

But when logging into MyEtherWallet, I notice a load of Ethereum address associated with my ledger.

If I have ethereum sent to one of those other ethereum addresses (not the main one shown in Ledger Wallet Ethereum) - will those get credited to my main balance in my ledger? ie , will I see the added ETH in ledger wallet ethereum even though I did not use the specified “receive” address show in ledger wallet ethereum receive?

Or will I need to access those other addresses associated with my key on myetherwallet.com?

Thanks again

I can’t speak to ETH. I do own one but use the etherum chrome app by Ledger. I only have one account but again, all coins on that ledger have their private keys derived from the same 24 word seed.

ok thanks bud :herb:

For the time being our ETC/ETH Chrome application only supports one address - so you’ll be able to see your balance with MyEtherWallet only if you send to derived addresses. This will be updated in the future.

ok cool thanks for the update, I have 4 tutorial videos in the works.
they are just waiting for voice overs, just got a new mic the other day so I should have them up in a day or 2

i did:

  • not recognized in linux (fix)
  • how to add accounts (ledger wallet bitcoin)
  • how to use the nano s with electrum BTC
  • how to use MyEtherWallet with nano s

I hope you can add monero soon as it will probably soon be the best coin to mine. I wish i could stash monero in my nano-s. Right now there are not many options to store monero. There are only a few wallets one can use and the good ones require downloading the entire blockchain… and it is one of the most popular coins to mine and use. If people could store it on a ledger, it should greatly increase your sales (I would imagine).

Thanks again

After mining to the Ledger Nano S it seems all the small transactions have froze up my wallet and now it won’t sync. Be careful mining to the ledger .01 payouts are too small and will kill your wallet. Ledger’s email help said it’s never a good idea to have gambling winnings, mining payouts or faucet payouts sent to a hardware wallet. What wallet can I mine to that can handle Zcash payouts?

It depends how many UTXOs you’re grouping together - if you don’t have too many (or if you wait for a long time), it should ultimately work.

What wallet do you use for Monero?

The problem are still exists - I was not able to send ZEC mined to Nano S wallet

Having the same issue still. I have contacted support but they were unable to help and said they were looking into it.

how much is your payout to hardware wallet? stop mining directly to your hw wallet, many small payments will brick it and getting them out could become a long and energy consuming work.
zec wallet is what I would recommend for mining payouts.

I don’t know maybe 10 to 20 cents every other day. Already done. So I have to send them out in small payments to get everything out.
