ZECWallet Lite stuck, won't send

Unable to start the client. Any ideas?

Did you follow the installation instructions?

Rust will run in windows. apt will not for the build essential dependency (I don’t think i’ve ever run it in a non linux platform)

I was able to follow the instructions and have access to the Zecwallet-cli file. If I try to open the client from the file it will open the interactive prompt but will not allow me to type in commands then after 20 secs the window will self close.

I think now you might attempt changing the server address in the config file.

Hello everyone!
Help me solve the problem.
I have Zecwallet Lite installed on mac OS. For over a year (for some reason) the computer did not turn on.
Recently I remembered that I have ZEC on my balance and wanted to sell it. But a problem occurred. Zecwallet Lite - does not start.
Now I cannot access my wallet at all: it freezes on the “settings” screen before I have time to see my wallets/balances or change any settings.

I had many addresses in Zecwallet Lite, including shielded addresses “Z”.
I have a sit-phrase from Zecwallet Lite.
I tried to restore the wallet through “ZINGO”. But I was able to restore one address “T” with a balance of “0”.
My asset is located is located on another address “Z”

At this point I am completely stuck and do not know what to do to get my funds back.

Maybe I should restore the wallet through some other application or is there a way to somehow restore Zecwallet Lite?
Please help!

You may be able resurrect Zecwallet lite long enough to send the funds out of it:

You have a few options. You could change the configuration file of zecwallet light to point at a working server where it will start and then simply export the private key of the z address that you want. The wallet wont transact but you can get the key this way. This post describes changing that file, its pretty easy.

The supported method is to use the Ywallet key tool. You would import your seed into Ywallet, use the key tool to generate a swath of z addresses and then you can add it as a sub-account address or just use the key for creating a new account. The Ywallet method describes how-to with regards to ZWL

From ZingoLabs is working on a tool based on ZecWallet Lite to recover ZecWallet wallets, although it works fine at the moment, it is not yet what you have in mind, maybe you can wait a little longer or use it as well. :face_with_monocle:

Greetings everyone,

I am having a issue with my old Zecwallet Lite android wallet and was told to go here for help getting the seed out of it.

The wallet is stuck at the splash screen, then shows the message

"
Error Reading Wallet
Error: Couldn’t get network from server,
connection refused. Is the server
address correct?
"

ZecWallet Lite on Android does not connect to active servers, moreover, the wallet is discontinued.

If you saved the seed phrase, you can use it to restore your wallet to another Wallet that supports Zcash.

I sadly do not have the seed phrase saved anywhere, is it still possible to pull the seed from the mobile wallet to use in a currently supported wallet somehow?

For now there is no way to do it, I suggest that you do not uninstall the app, there may be a solution at some point.

I don’t have a zecwallet lite folder in “application support” for mac.

I can open package contents by going through the application but thats all I see!
