CUDA SILENTARMY v4+ Windows Build

hey guys

I have windows 7 64 using drivers 373.06 and I run the v0.4f_SM50_62 pre compiled miner and I get missing dll errors… msvcp140.dll not found was the first missing error so I thought all good I will download the dll files and I put them into the miner folder.
downloaded msvcp140.dll then I got another dll missing error saying it requires vcruntime140.dll. I then carried out the same as above and then another missing dll. finally after getting the dlls I get “The procedure entry point ucrtbase.abort could not be located in the dynamic link library api-ms-win-crt-runtime-I1-1-0.dll”

I had downloaded this dll also but I’m having this problem

help please

install vc redist from microsoft.com

maztheman, Can you release a compiled Linux ELF as well?
Is there anyone who can share a compiled file for nheqminer for Linux?

So it seems anything above -cb 64 -ct 64 i get the result below
at 64/64 i only get 36 sols any suggestions?

A Titan X…wow
What is your normal hashrate…LBRy or ETH? Have you tried this miner
Miner- CUDA Equihash (with devfee) - #201 by zcminer-dev?

his version have set bounds to 64 threads only, but you can increase blocks as you want, try 128/64, 256/64, 8192/8 etc

ive very lazy so i run on windows 10 pro.
Eth speeds are at 30.1mh/s
lbry 0.459gh/s
using nheqminers’s setup i do about 35

Try the miner from my link…it will give you a big boost of mining.just let us know what a Titan X achieves there
I thought I’m insane to get so many GTX1080s …was looking for TITAN X or Tesla P100

with zcminer i hit 72sols

back to cuda silentarmy
256/64 results in 42sols
512/16 for giggles 43

I am currently testing this v0.4f version and so far is better then the stock nheqminer, but not just as good as the zcminer-dev version.

You heavily need to tune this version to get right results, else you might be less performance so play with -cs -cv -cb -ct options as it makes a LOT of differences

got the miner to run just now on windows 7 thx mikhan

im getting alot of “cuda solved x” streaming down when the miner is run… Is there a way that this can be removed?

cheers

Got a GTX970 you can see a good difference

on a GTX1070 it does not work … even with starting with -cs it simply still started the CUDA tromp solver

update. it spews out “cuda solved 0” if i select cuda 7.5. on cuda 8.0 the cuda solved (gpu) does not display.

I cant seem to get the miner to work on the silentarmys kernal by using -cs in the bat file it always uses tromps kernal with the 750ti for me, not sure what I’m doing wrong here…

i have exactly the same issue … as if the flag is totally ignored

perhaps @maztheman could publish a version where it has been default enabled?

I have tried version 4d, 4e , 4f trying 7.5 and cuda 8.0 with the -cs option and It is ignored with the 750ti windows 7 64 driver 373.06 :frowning:

It’s way faster without the -cs on my GTX 970…

thenyour doing it wrong, again READ the topic posts!

thats my commandline… should be ok
nheqminer -l zcl.suprnova.cc:4042 -u user.user -p pass -t 0 -cs -cd 0

@Gaglam does the miner display “Starting thread #0 (CUDA-SILENTARMY)” when you start it?

HI ALL PLEASE READ !!!

there is a bug if you dont get CUDA-SILENTARMY your CPU must ‘fake’ AVX2’ with the following

-e 2 -t 0

this enabled the flag but disables CPU mining but works like a charm on mining

newer CPU’s with AVX support dont have this issue hence some people can mine, but if you use e.g. celerons you will need to do this.

On GTX1070 is a lot more stable and uses less power … although its not reaching its potential yet with 250 sol/s on 6 cards
