how can we use this opensource GPU miner on suprnova?
thanks
It’s not using stratum protocol but some own binary protocol which makes it incompatible with the pool currently, hopefully the dev will release a stratum version too
ok cool, i suppose you will announce here when a GPU miner is available for your pool?
is there anyway to get faster announcements from the pool?
Thanks!
It would be great if suprnova kept an eye on the remarkable improvement in the nicehash CPU/GPU miner and fork to support suprnova. The current nicehash miner linked on suprnova’s help page is quite behind in speed/efficiency; nearly a factor of 3.5x for the CPU and 1.5x for GPU on my test rig.
of course, i’ll implement those features once they’re public
any news on the update of the cpu/gpu miner?
You can follow it in the original thread here: Miner- [NiceHash] Zcash CPU/GPU for Linux and Windows
As of this post, nicehashdev is tentatively planning an updated release today for CPU/GPU win/linux. Then it will be a matter of time for a CPU and GPU fork to open it up to other pools.
are you doing this on microsoft or ubuntu
is suprnova only running with nheqminer?
First I tried zcashd from current version on github
./src/zcashd -daemon -stratum=stratum+tcp://zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -user=xxxxx.yyyyy -password=zzzzz -debug -printtoconsole
with my zcash.conf:
testnet=1
addnode=betatestnet.z.cash
rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
gen=1
genproclimit=-1
equihashsolver=tromp
It’s running (full CPU load), but the relevant worker is not shown active in suprnova dashboard.
While
./nheqminer -l zec.suprnova.cc:2142 -u xxxxx.yyyyy -p zzzzz
shows also the worker as active.
All stratum enabled miners should work. Do you see accepted shares?
how do I recognize shares? does the output have to look like nheqminer? there is lot of text, but I don’t see something about shares, sorry
edit: that’s the output
Do you allow to keep Zcash on pool till a windows wallet is released?
Looks like you’re solo mining, I don’t see any pool url in that text.
Lovely yes you can keep the mined coins on the pool
ok so, but what’s wrong then with my command/config file? thanks for your help
Hey I’m wondering if testnet and mainnet will be mined on the same port at suprnova? Otherwise could you tell me the port that mainnet will be launched on?
I have to leave town on the 27th and would like to start my miner a few hours early.
It’ll stay the same port, you can just let the miner run
where for Linux please ??
Not released yet, will update my repo as soon as it’s public
